Outside-Inside-Out

Well, it turned out my brief review of David Gibson’s new album in my last post instigated a long discussion on the Trombone Forum.  Go to it here.  Turns out the trombone world is trying to fight the perception, or view, or whatever, that people aren’t fond of the trombone as a solo instrument (which I admitted at the start of my review).

For the most part the discussion is pretty informative and civil (although there were a couple guys who threw me under the bus and completely trashed me, but there were a couple people who also defended me, which was nice).

Thoughts?
