If you didn’t get a chance, check out the Terrell Stafford Quintet in action last week at the Village Vanguard.  Burning burning burning.  You can find it here.  The set is all Billy Strayhorn, and the group features saxophonist Tim Warfield, whose new disc, Sentimental Journey (which features Stafford) I reviewed in either the November or December issue of Downbeat.  Definitely check that disc out if you get a chance.
